Hour Media is seeking a full-time, Art Director /Graphic Designer for dBusiness magazine in our Royal Oak office. The primary responsibilities are the art direction and design of the magazine.
Duties include:
- Working closely with editor to pair the art/aesthetic with the editorial.
- Layout and design of all edit pages.
- Negotiating and assigning all illustrations and photography.
- Art directing photo shoots.
- Work closely with production to see pages through to final proof.
A working knowledge of the entire Adobe Creative Suite is imperative. Some business knowledge and editorial and/or magazine experience is helpful. Must be extremely well organized and have strict attention to detail. Very fast-paced environment, so the ability to work well under pressure is crucial while meeting strict deadlines.
